Elevated incidence of cardiogenic shock in patients with thrombus in the stent suggests poor prognosis

A study in Italy showed that the incidence of CS in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) was increased by one-fold compared with the incidence of cardiogenic shock (CS) in patients with myocardial infarction, Of which more than one third is associated with left main or multiple vessels ST. It is particularly noteworthy that patients with STEMI who received left ventricular support were hospitalized and had early survival rates (28.6%). The study was published online December 25 in the International Journal of Cardiology (Int J Cardiol) magazine.
